the University of Minnesota and Fissure will be rolled out in April starting with a presentation at PMI- MN 's monthly dinner meeting on the 19th. The certification is a one of a kind highbred that combines the hands on Simulation Powered Learning SPL® of Fissure with CDTL's widely acclaimed Signature Series. Students who have completed Fissure or Signature Series courses in the last two years can apply those credits towards the certificate. Complete details on the program will be available at www.fissure.com starting in April.

 

Fissure has just completed our first online learning tool. An online Managing Change learning tool was developed in support of a major client who has been using our Managing Change half day session to train all their employees in the critical skill of managing change. The online tool will be used for refresher training and for those employees who can not attend the half day session.

 

Fissure delivered the Advanced Project Management Simulation Powered workshop at the PMI National Congress in October to an overflowing class of 34 students. This was the 4th year in a row our advanced workshop was selected for delivery at this prestigious event.

 

Members of the Fissure team assembled shortly before the holidays at Creative Aire Recording Studio to lay down the vocal tracks for upcoming simulation enhancements. The vocal tracks will be matched to digital photos and software will meld the two together, adding greater realism to the simulations. Look for the new releases in the spring of 07.

 

Sharing the Simulation Powered Learning SPL® Experience, Fissure has begun a program to License courseware including the simulations and student kits to select vendors. We have always been in the market of developing custom simulations for clients who then license them and deliver them internally. This new program will allow select training companies to provide SPL® to their clients. Providers will be required to have experience in project management, hold their PMP and have presentation experience before attending the Fissure certification program. We are currently working with and soliciting relationships with overseas partners.
