Fissure News

PMI Global Congress (Anaheim, CA Sept, 2004): Fissure has been asked to offer its "Advanced Project Management Simulation Workshop" for the third year in a row at the Project Management Institute (PMI) North America Global Congress. The class has been held to overflow registration and rave reviews the last two years.

Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX): ManSims training company of Denver Co. recently engaged Fissure to create a simulation to help train companies on the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Federal Compliance. SOX are the new oversight guidelines to insure ethical practices for public companies. Judy Halley, long-time educational professional and ManSims CEO said, “We’re confident that fusing comprehensive SOX training into a management simulation will yield subject-matter proficiency previously unattainable.”

PMI-MN Leadership: Fissure is facilitating a monthly leadership series with the PMI-MN board of directors and leaders. The series is based on the five Key Leadership Practices identified in the research of Kouzes and Posner. The program includes self and observer assessments on the Five Key Practices, as well as individual improvement planning and feedback.

2-Day Leadership & Change Management Workshop: Fissure will be presenting its two-day Leadership and Change Management Simulation Workshop for PMI–MN this May 12-13. The course is similar to the leadership series being presented to the PMI-MN board and is open to all PMI members.
