Develop your leadership skills through a simulation workshop experience!

We are a training company and we are trainers, but training is not about standing in front of the room and pontificating to hear ourselves speak (I know everything, you know nothing).  Training for us is about developing people.  We are about helping people grow, or think differently, or see differently, or use a new tool or technique, and it is about the “aha” when it all comes together for them.  This is especially true when training adults.  We don’t all learn the same way, but there are five generally accepted principles to follow when it comes to adult learning:

•    Adults learn best when they are ready to learn (Prepared)
•    Adults learn best when the information is familiar to their existing base of knowledge (Assimilation/Familiarity)
•    Adults learn best when they are active and involved (Experiential)
•    Adults learn best when the information is delivered to their individual "style" (Learning Styles, Levels of Intelligence, Personalities, etc.)
•    Adults learn best when they experience success (Positive Reinforcement/Achievement)

Leading Successful Change SPL

Can you become a better change leader - helping teams through change and transition with less resistance - consistently? What do you need to know to lead a team through a major change -and the associated transition? People go through five phases as a result of a major change – do you know what you can do to facilitate this process? Do you know what leadership techniques to use in each phase? You can become aware of change management leadership skills you would like to emulate by observing a “good” change leader or by attending a lecture, but to really develop those skills yourself, you need practice. In teams of four, participants lead a simulated real-life team through a major organizational change. Through the simulation they practice and develop change leadership skills, learning from their mistakes and their successes. Students learn and take away tools for planning and tracking successful transitions.
